An existing 70’s style sloping courtyard is transformed in to a level contemporary space through the addition of retaining walls, terracotta edged aggregate paving and uncomplicated planting that includes pleached bay trees. An existing deck was revitalized with the addition a screen for privacy and is connected to the new aggregate paving via a board walk flanked either side by planting. A new pergola has been added to visual define the entrance way and the entertaining space. The sophisticated style is competed by the black and white theme - painted timber retaining, oversized white chairs and striped cushions and mono chromatic planting colours.
